I was raised in St. Petersburg, Florida and graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Meteorology. I moved to Fletcher in 1982 and worked as a civilian meteorologist for the US Air Force in Asheville before retiring in 2010. I am married to my wife Kathy who was originally from the Buffalo, NY area. Have 2 sons (Chris and Bryan) who grew up in Fletcher. I am presently a member of the Town of Fletcher City Council and former President of Fletcher Arts and Heritage Association (FAHA). My particular interest lies in the finding and preserving of old photos and documents that help explain our rich history.
