Children’s Art Camp

A pilot program was begun in the summer of 2009 to establish an art camp for children who would not otherwise receive such lessons. Professional arts people were hired to offer free classes in visual arts and music to a group of local school children. The local elementary schools identified potential students who would participate in the program. The classes took place on the basement level of the Fletcher branch library with the children giving a final performance and exhibiting their art works.
